USPS Uses Augmented Reality App Brings A New Dimension To Mail

Some of the most intriguing and innovative solutions available today make use of augmented reality (AR). It is an emerging technology which we think should used by a lot more often. United States Postal Service (USPS) working in conjunction with Aurasma, have come up with an AR app that brings mail to life. They’re showing off the new app at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.

The app scans the content of the mail and displays additional information on any smartphone or tablet, this will allow companies to engage with their customers by enabling them to come up with innovative advertising solutions. A few applications of this technology are shown in the video below.
