SPACE SCIENCE
A weird shiny object was seen in one of the pictures taken by Curiosity Mars rover
. The object was seen protruding out from a rock in one of the pictures
taken by the Mastcam, it was spotted by Elisabetta Bonora, who is an
image editor from Italy. The shiny object is sticks out like a sore
thumb amongst the eroded rocks.
The object can be seen in highlighted between the green lines above. It looks as if the object is composed of material that is more resistant to erosion than the surrounding rock, or the object may have grown on the rocks. The surface of the object seems very smooth, and it hasn’t accumulated a lot of dust –this is typical of metallic surfaces.
The object is very small in size, it’s extends about 0.5 cm from the rock. No matter how small it is, this shiny object seems very interesting. Hopefully we’ll find more about this soon.
