Check out this amazing and unique MINI Convertible boat. In reality this is not an actual MINI, but a boat, the brainchild of the MINI USA Eastern Region office.
It would be interesting to note that the vehicle was part of MINI's Not Normal Sales Event, which engaged regional staff and dealers to offer unusual ways of celebrating the famous brand.
This vehicle was created by Pennsylvania-based ACI Composites. The starting point was borrowing a mold of a 2004 MINI Hardtop.
The mold was used to make a fiberglass convertible body that was mounted to a boat hull. Then engineers added some parts of the MINI, such as headlights, taillights, grille, steering wheel, badges, wheels and tires. The vehicle was equipped by a 6hp outboard motor.
It is worth mentioning that the MINI Convertible boat was for the first time officially presented last weekend in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at the Head of the Charles Regatta, being used to keep an eye on the safety of the rowers, on the Charles River.
