Aston Martin Rapide, the only four-door car at the
moment produced by the British marquee, Aston Martin has been in the
news for quite sometime now for its revamped version that has got into
production. The Aston Martin Rapide was called the successor of the
first four-door car of the company, Aston Martin Lagonda, which was
phased out long back in 1989.
The 2013 Rapide has been recently caught testing
ahead of its launch the next year. Looking at the all new pictures one
can figure out that the car has got better front having the lightly
sculpted front bumper, whereas the considerably larger spoiler gives it a
more man-like look. However, the profiles are going to be the same.
What remains the same is the 6.0-litre V12 engine,
but it has been tweaked a little to improve the efficiency. Since the
engine is the same, we do expect its acceleration figures of 0-96kmph in
5.2 seconds to be unchanged.
The improved look and a little improved engine will
help 2013 Rapide to compete better with its closest competitors
including Porsche Panmera and Maserati Quattroporte.
