Hennessey-Venom-GT
Hennessey Venom GT has achieved success in a very short time. Recently on January 21, 2013, Venom G, averaging 0-300 km/h acceleration within 13.63 seconds, set a new Guinness World Record. The car also set an unofficial record for giving 0-200 mph in 14.51 seconds. This is the latest crack by Hennessey to build a world class supercar that combines the British chassis with the American power plant.  It would be interesting to see how well American muscle partners with British handling. It is all about packing maximum power into an exceptionally nimble package.  Venom GT is the result of the best technologies and best engineering and made with the best materials. The result is a dream conveyance of course.
The price of 2013 Hennessey Venom GT’s has not been announced yet.

Exterior and interiors

Hennessey Venom GT follows the same exterior lines of its sibling. However, you will not fail to notice the disappearance of the Elise-like headlights. The new design now incorporates the LED bulbs that mandatory. There are some more of exterior design changes and those include a modified roof to add more space to the interior and scissor doors.  As Venom GT takes after Lotus, those Lotus-style headlights will go missing in the new 2013 model. You will see a new front bumper, modified side mirrors and designed side skirts.
Those carbon fiber wheels on the light carbon fiber bodywork and CFD tested bodywork, feature an adjustable suspension system and active aero system. The interiors are classy and sophisticated. The simple interiors have all the necessary accessories and instrumentation to ride the Venom GT with confidence.  You will find Alcantara leather lines on the seating, panels and the steering wheel.  You will find that it has AM/FM radio, AC and even a docking station. The removable steering wheel is an added feature.

Engine and performance

Hennessey Venom GT weighs lesser now at about 2,700 lb  and this is possible due to lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and those carbon fiber wheels.. Carbon ceramic units as the rotors are provided by Surface Transforms. Venom GT gets power form the Chevrolet sourced V8 engine with an productivity of 155 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm and 1,200 HP at 6,500 rpm.  But because of the added weight due to the detachable roof, you might see somewhat lower performance numbers.
The engine sends its power to the rear wheels through the Ricardo 6-speed gearbox. A KW variant three-adjustable coil over suspension makes for good handling. Although it has never been tested, Venom GT claims it can achieve a top speed of 272 mp. Computational fluid dynamics keep the car stable. There is an active aero system working on both the racetrack as well as the road . An adaptable suspension system offers height adjustments according to driving conditions and the speed.

Safety features

The safety rating in Hennessey Venom GT will play a big role when getting the insurance quotes. The Insurance providers would like to know how safe your car is before deciding the premium. A built-in roll cage offers safety to both driver and passenger.

Pros

  • Trendy designs and superb performance
  • Good value for money

Cons

  • longitudinal acceleration might get a bit scary
If you are looking for a very raw, driving experience, then go for Hennessey Venom GT.  Get ready for the best driving sensation, especially with the twin turbo V8 and the hardtop removed. 1,200 HP makes this car the most powerful convertible in the world and offers a greater visceral experience to the driver. Maybe you have never driven anything so fast, the acceleration is simply amazing.
It is sort of difficult to adjust your mind to that kind of acceleration, especially when the car lacks all-wheel drive traction. Venom GT can reach 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds from 0.

Note: The Hennessey Venom GT design is based on the Lotus Elise / Exige. The Venom GT is created from a base Lotus Elise / Exige and utilizes components including but not limited to the roof, doors, side glass, windscreen, dash, cockpit, floorpan, HVAC system, wiper and head lamps. Hennessey Performance and the Venom GT are not associated with Lotus Cars.

The sleek and sexy Hennessey Venom GT became a successful model in a very short time and Hennessey is hoping to repeat that success with an open top version of the same sports car. The new Hennessey Venom GT Spyder will be offered with a removable top and will only be produced in a limited run of five units, two of which have already been spoken for. Deliveries will begin in Summer 2012 and prices will start from $1.1 million, about $150,000 more than the Coupe’s top version.

The Venom GT Spyder will be powered by the same Chevrolet sourced V8 engine found in the Coupe with an output of 1,200 HP at 6,500 rpm and 1,155 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. Because of the added weight from the removable roof, performance numbers should be a tad bit slower than the Coupe, which sprints from 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and to 200 mph in 15.9 seconds, on its way up to a top speed of 275 mph. The engine will more than likely send its power to the rear wheels via a Ricardo 6-speed gearbox and handling will be facilitated by a KW variant three-adjustable coilover suspension.

As far as its design goes, the Venom GT Spyder will start off with the Lotus Elise base and will follow along the same extreme design lines as its Coupe sibling. We imagine it will also feature the same active aero system with adjustable rear wing that will deploy under varying conditions on both the road and racetrack.
"With the hardtop in place, the Venom GT offers a very visceral, raw, driving experience," said Hennessey CEO, Don Goldman. "With the hardtop removed, the wind and the growl of the twin turbo V8 will offer our clients an even greater driving sensation."
The 1,200 HP will make the Venom GT Spyder the most powerful convertible in the world. Will it also be the fastest? We believe it will, but Hennessey will have to keep that 275 mph top speed intact.
