Corning with Gorilla Glass 3 has proved itself the leader in robust glass panels, no one does it better than , they have been making their trademark reinforced glass panels for quite some time now. This year at CES 2013, Corning showed off third generation of the their Gorilla Glass.

The new Gorilla Glass 3 will bring better protection to screens on smartphones, TVs, laptops and tablets. According to Corning, the new Native Damage Resistance technology makes it three times stronger than it’s predecessor, offering better scratch resistance, and it makes scratches 40% less visible. Corning’s technology is now in over a billion sold devices, if you’re using a smartphone or a tablet, it’s pretty likely that it’s got corning’s technology keeping scratches off your screen. There’s no word on which devices will be the first to get the new panels, but it’s expected that devices launched after the second part of 2013 are going to feature the new and improved glass technology.
